Sync Dancing is done by most of the dance teams you see at club events.
This requires knowledge of how to setup your dance moves so all team perform the same animation at the same time.
To be a sync dancer you have to know when the dance you are doing is about to end, so that you can be ready for next dance move.
A good way to learn the dances was to get the general feel of the dance, time them, and focus mainly on the last 10 seconds or so of the dance.
When you can see the dance is coming to a close, get ready to click the Quickbar, press the Quickbar number or have your /dance command ready.
Many dance teams make great use of the Quickbar to cycle through a preset sequence of dance moves or selecting the dances using keys 1 to 0 on their keyboard.
The Leader[]
Having a Leader is vital to a team. They let the dancers know which dance to do next. There are many ways that this is communicated such as Group Chat /join or using Skype or similar with text or voice.
In most teams, the Leader dances with the team so you can focus on their moves and sync with them.
On occasion, the Leader may become unresponsive, booted or be distracted by the club owner. They don't call the next dance call there is only one option on this team if that happens. Do a cage dance 2. When in doubt, you can never go wrong by doing a /cage_dance2. Follow your leader for the next dance. If the Leader boots and is not back, then one of the remaining team makes the next call and lets everyone know they are calling. If the leader boots the caller will appoint another leader till the booted Leader returns.
Some helpful hints[]
If you're not the Leader, learn to anticipate. Learn your dances to know when the end is near. Sometimes your Leader will call "no delay," but we all have computers that work at different speeds. Your leader's "no delay" might mean for you to "wait two seconds, then start". Find the rhythm and try to stick with it.
You are bound to do the wrong dance at some point. The team is doing a 3 and you typed in a 0. DON'T PANIC! This is your time to shine! Your solo! It's really no big deal. The most important thing is to WATCH YOUR LEAD and be ready to jump in on the next dance
If you start the next dance before your Leader does, you can always re-paste your code and start again when it's time. Or, you might just keep dancing and be the early bird who finishes first. No matter what happens, be ready with your next dance, follow your lead, and join in on the next one.
Sometimes, your Leader will have different dancers doing different dances. For example they call 'front row 1, back row 3'. In this case, because the dances are different lengths, each row will end at a different time. Again, watch your Leader. If your Leader's dance ends first, be ready to start your new dance based on when their dance ends, not yours. Alternatively, your dance may end first. The Leader may decide to start the new dance when your dance ends, or they may decide to leave you standing there doing nothing until her dance ends. Either way, be ready with your next dance and follow her lead.
