The Patcher is a small program that loads before launching the Utherverse application. There are a few important features that the Patcher performs. One is that it automatically checks for new updates and applies them before you launch the program.
Repair[]
You can also run a repair of the client by pressing the Repair
button. This will do three things.
- Check all the files and verifies if any of them are different then they should be or missing completely, and replace or add these files.
- Clears your Utherverse cache. Which contains files downloaded locally to your computer, such as textures and avatar images.
- Optionally restores your configuration files to default. Choosing not to restore your settings is optional but generally recommended to always do.
