XML failed to Load and or No product to patch errors occur when there is a problem with the configuration of your game client.
The XML failed to Load is mostly caused by antivirus/security software locking files when they shouldn't be and causing blank or empty files to be created.
Before you start :
- You need to know where your game client (RLC, Utherverse etc.) is installed.
- Ensure that your game client is not running.
Here is a procedure for fixing these issues.
- Download the following tool: https://hosted1.zyberwerx.net/uthertech/noproduct2.exe
- Locate noproduct2.exe in your Download folder.
- Right-click noproduct2.exe and choose Run as administrator.
- If you are running Windows Defender, you may get a pop-up message saying that Windows has protected your PC. If this happens, click More info, then click the Run anyway button.
- If you are using Windows Account Control, you may get a pop-up message saying that Do you want this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to this device. If this happens, click the Yes button
- The UtherTech XML Repair Tool opens:
- Look at the list of game client locations found by the tool. If your client is not shown in the list:
- Use the Scan for Installations button to possibly add your client to the list in the tool.
- Click the Browse to Folder button and manually navigate to your game client folder.
- Now you can see the path to your game client folder listed in the tool, click that path.
- The Repair button is now highlighted in red. Click it.
- Once the tool has completed, the Green button now says Repaired.
- Close the tool using the X at the top right.
- Start your game client from your shortcut as normal.
If this did not fix your client, please repeat with your antivirus software temporally disabled.
If you are still having problems, please run the SWOOD fix.
