Frame Rate per Second mostly abbreviated to FPS is an indication how many frames you are seeing in game. Frame rate is very important on the performance of your computer displaying Utherverse to you. The higher the smoother your experience will be.
Max FPS[]
This setting can be found in the Statistics panel (F2). Be default this is set to 30 FPS. Forcing your computer to have a maximum of 30 FPS, in the F2 menu this is visible by seeing the +sign behind the current frame rate. Meaning your actual frame rate could be higher then 30. Most people should leave the frame rate on 30 as this is the optimal frame rate for Utherverse. However, those with high-end gaming computer might benefit by setting it to 60 FPS for a smoother experience.
Fluctuating FPS[]
If you expierence a lot of spikes in your FPS it might be wise to lock it at a certain setting. Fluctuating FPS, especially between 15 and 60 will have a big impact on your computer and how you view the game. This is mostly visable with FPS set to unlimited, computer can range from 1-1000FPS, the amount of props, avatars and other objects in game affect how will your computer can render all these things on screen. That said, above 400 FPS the human eye cannot even see any difference anymore, ofcourse this slightly differs per person. Most modern games however lock their games at 60 FPS to have the best expierence, but due to the nature of usermade locations within Utherverse its recommended to set the FPS to 30.
15 FPS and lower[]
Once you see numbers of 15 and lower, you most likely have a low end computer, or the location within Utherverse you are in is really badly designed by a decorator. Low FPS rates cause collision issues, making it hard to walk up stairs, rotate or even move your avatar. It will come across as jagged and slow. If this is the case, in a single location then it's most likely poorly designed. If it happens everywhere you might benefit from upgrading your computer. A good benchmark is to see how your FPS is in RLC street.
