The Customize - Clothing panel is part of the Utherverse user interface. This panel allows you to change many atributes of your avatar including gender and clothing.
While this is highly customizable and the only option for basic accounts to change their appearance. Most VIP members instead opt to use the social center closet in conjunction to customize - clothing interface. It is also possible to manipulate these slots on the social center by means of direct avatar editing. This latter is more commonly used in the Anything Goes dimension as it can be used to wear props as clothing instead.
Left-hand side[]
The left side of this panel allows you to change the size, gender and species of your avatar

This option allows you to have naked bot. This menu option only shows up when the closet you are in, is that of the bot, and not your own. |
| Your Stored Outfits | Dropdown List | Here you will a dropdown list of items you stored. This makes it easy to switch between certain looks you like. To get more outfits slots you can purchase these on the social center avatar section. |
| Outfit Name | Text Input Field | If you like a certain look you can enter a unique name here and press the save outfit button. This will store it in the Your Stored Outfits, section explained above. To get more outfits slots you can purchase these on the social center avatar section. |
| Change | Save Change | Clicking this will exit the ingame closet and apply all the changes made, even changes that were applied from the Social Center closet. |
| Don't Change | Clicking this button will exit the ingame closet and not apply any changes made and revert back to the avatar before you opened the ingame closet. | |
| New Style Avatar |

This option allows you to choose your preferred avatar style between New Style and legacy. This is important to because legacy and new style meshes are not compatible. |
Right-hand side[]
The right side allows you to customize the clothing your avatar is wearing.
This is divided in layers ranging from clothing, underwear, tattoos (skin) to piercings. Each layer specifies specific items you can change. In most cases it is not only possible to change the item, but also the coloration of this item. Which coloration one must understand that this can mean complete different textures of the same clothing mesh.

| Hair | Color |
Here you can browse through the selection of hair meshes. And change the color. You can also choose to not have any hair and go bald by disabling this option. |
| Eyes | Here you can browse through a selection of eyes. | |
| Glasses | Color |
Here you can select different types of glasses and masks. Color will often change into a complete different item. You can also select to not have any glasses. |
| Makeup or Facial Hair |

If you are a girl you will see makeup option here and if you are a guy you will see facial option here. This allows you to change these accordingly or turn them off if you prefer a natural or hairless look. |
| Paint |

This will paint your face. |
| Shirts | Color | This will allow you to change the upper area of your clothing. You can also change colors, which often even gives totally new items. |
| Pants | Color | This will allow you to change the lower area of your clothing. You can also change colors, which often even gives totally new items. |
| Shoes | Color |
This will allow you to change shoes or not have any at all and be barefeet. For females this looks a bit wierd as they will be walking on their toes. |

Here you can change your underwear shirt or bra. You can also disable this layer and go bear-chested. |

Here you can change your lower body underwear or panties. |
| Wings |

This adds wings, horns, halo's, tails or other options to your avatars back. This layer is also often used for bridal veils and long hair. |
