Ambient Sounds are sounds used to add atmosphere to builds. They have automatic proximity-based triggers with an oval shaped sound cone so consider placing more in a row, for example if you make a beach.
To hear these sounds set Play World Sounds to On (by default this is off) in the Settings panel (reached using <F7>).
Decorating with Sound props[]
Find the sound props in the Prop Editor using the keyword Sound. Create and place the sound prop near what appears to be where the sound comes from. On the prop’s State tab type fakesound0 or simply f. The sound prop looks like a sign. When you are happy with the placement, make the prop invisible with the Invisible button on the State tab.
Note: It is not good practice to use the Sound props as simple signs because they load their wav sound into the game regardless of setting the prop's State setting.
You can hear a maximum of 16 sounds per region. If you add further sounds, the ones you added first will not work. If you delete a sound prop, the sound remains until you refresh <F5>.
